The KHC Board Of Directors is committed to the cause of improving the lives of people in Cambodia. KHC is fortunate to have the guidance and wisdom from its Board and values their ongoing support.

The Board meets quarterly to discuss pertinent issues and upcoming projects. Additionally, we are grateful for their time and efforts given to our annual Wine and Cheese fundraiser!

Meet Our Board of Directors

Leanne Foff

Leanne has worked for over 15 years as a Registered Nurse in Pediatric ER
at the Stollery Children¹s Hospital in Edmonton. She completed a Masters
of International Health in 2009 from Kitt University in Amsterdam.
Leanne¹s nursing experience and passion for helping others have led to
several opportunities to provide medical care in developing countries,
including Cambodia. Leanne was drawn to the plight of the Cambodian
people and subsequently co-founded Kindred Hearts Cambodia in 2011.
Downtime for Leanne includes soccer, running and traveling with her
husband and kids.

MIchael Wohl

Dr. Michael Wohl is a professor of psychology at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. His work focuses on factors that help and hinder reconciliation following ethic conflict. He also conducts research on the causes and consequences of addiction and how to promote behavioural change. In his leisure time, he likes to read non-fiction books, stay active (running, playing sports), talk politics to family and friends, and spend quality time with the people he loves.

Patrik Foff

Patrik Foff has spent over 20 years in the insurance industry with a
specialization in employee benefits. In 2010, Patrik earned the Certified
Financial Planner designation, and in 2011 he started his own brokerage,
Gryphon Benefits & Insurance. Following a rather eye-opening visit to
Cambodia in 2011 with his wife, Leanne, Patrik co-founded Kindred Hearts
Cambodia and continues to witness how the Foundation has helped the Khmer
people. Pat can usually be found swimming, lounging in the sun, or
playing really complex board games with friends.

Johanna Knettig

Johanna has over 15 years experience in the health care industry, both front line and management roles. She currently works Covenant Health, the largest Catholic health provider in Canada. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, she is accountable for Strategic Planning and Foundation Relations. Johanna has volunteered for numerous organizations, both locally and internally, with a focus for serving those most vulnerable.

Jocelyn Nicholson

First obtaining a degree in Commerce, Jocelyn switched her professional focus to education after realizing how passionate she was about coaching young athletes. She has over a dozen years of experience teaching junior high and high school students throughout Alberta and Australia, and currently teaches Grade Twelve Math with Edmonton Catholic Schools. In her free time, Jocelyn enjoys staying active through team sports, running, and golfing, as well as travelling and experiencing other cultures.
